 Empowering Teens for Social Connection and Well-being

Dragon FUNd's, a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to financially supporting social events and activities for local middle school and high school teens in Dover, New York. Our mission is to raise funds to help offset the cost of events so all teens in our community can participate regardless of their family's financial status.

We recognize that our community, a small rural town of 8,400, faces significant economic challenges, with 74% of students in the Dover Union Free School District now classified as economically disadvantaged**. This high rate puts a substantial strain on families' financial resources. While funding is often allocated to education, sports, and clubs, the importance of social events is often overlooked. We believe that social connection is essential for the holistic development of teenagers, as it promotes their mental health, builds resilience, and creates a sense of belonging 

Through our fundraising efforts, we seek to garner support from individuals, businesses, and organizations that share our vision of nurturing the social well-being of teenagers. We will actively engage with community members, encouraging them to contribute financially or through volunteerism, to collectively make a lasting impact on the lives of our town's youth.

 We believe that every teenager deserves the opportunity to engage in cultivating friendships and building lasting memories, regardless of their family's financial situation.
